Willemstad, Curacao’s UNESCO World Heritage capital, offers the Caribbean’s most picturesque shopping experience. Duty-free shopping in Curacao offers competitive prices on watches, electronics, and jewelry, particularly at the Renaissance Mall near the port. The local currency is the Netherlands Antillean Guilder (ANG), but U.S. dollars are widely accepted. Credit cards are accepted in most established shops. Shopping hours typically run from 8 AM to 6 PM, with many stores closing for lunch between noon and 2 PM. The cruise terminal’s location at the entrance to St. Anna Bay puts you within minutes of the best shopping districts.
